About The Tea House
The Tea House is one of the wedding spaces at Riccarton Park in Sockburn, set apart from the grandstand in its own park-like grounds. It is an Edwardian building from 1903, restored to its original design, with a wide veranda and tongue and groove walls inside.
Guests are seated at round tables for the reception, and outdoor ceremonies can be arranged on the Tea House Lawn. Riccarton Park also offers the Show Gate and the Pavilion, with venues suited to groups from 40 to 250 guests and an events team that includes wedding co-ordinators.
The park is about 15 minutes from the central city and 8 minutes from the airport. Rated 4.5 from 14 Google reviews, 9 of them five stars.
