About The Starling Homestead Wedding Venue & Accommodation

The Starling Homestead is a 14 acre family farm in the Waipara wine region of North Canterbury, about 45 minutes north of Christchurch. It specialises in micro weddings, elopements and pop up weddings, with ceremonies held in the gardens and grounds.

Couples can bring their own alcohol with no corkage and choose their own caterer, from food trucks to a potluck style spread. If it rains, the ceremony moves undercover.

Boutique farm stay accommodation in The Stables suits the first night as newlyweds or getting ready, and an accessible toilet is available in the main homestead by prior arrangement. Wedding packages start from $600, and a deposit of 25 to 50 percent secures a date.
